CHRYSO is a construction chemicals manufacturer that has started production in Turkey in 1994 holding the number one market share in France, number three in Europe and number four in the world. Besides the direct manufacturing activities in 14 countries, including Turkey, CHRYSO provides its products to its customer through its distributors in the other countries via exportation.
Established in 1942, CHRYSO continues with its activities under the Materis Group and serves its customers with its 320 employees. CHRYSO has obtained the ISO 9001:2000 quality management system certification. All our chemical concrete additives bear the CE mark, including the Optima and Premia Series of concrete additives.
CHRYSO has three main product groups. These products are directed at the concrete, cement and gypsum manufacturer. In the concrete group, the majority of our customers are Ready Mix Concrete Producers, Prefabricated Concrete Production Facilities and Large Work sites. The group's products range includes all types of plasticizers, set accelerators, air entrainers and water-repelling chemicals, as well as the aesthetics group with the mould-release agents and surface retarders..
Our cement group customers comprise Cement plants and Grinding Plants, and the relevant products can be listed as the grinding-aids and performance grinding-aids. In addition to the classification given above, the Chromium (VI) reducers have been presented to the service of the cement industry in Turkey as a new-generation product added to our product range.
CHRYSO is primarily manufacturing liquid chemical additives in the Turkish construction chemicals market and has developed rapidly since 1994 until today, becoming an important specialized manufacturer of the construction chemicals sector. CHRYSO has increased its market share in Turkey in the Turkish market as of 2003 and has taken a leading position.
Currently, it is competing only with itself with the CHRYSO®Fluid AG and CHRYSO®Fluid Optima series in terms of performance in the market place.
Starting to get more active since 2004, the construction sector has grown considerably in 2005, reinforcing the expectation for the coming years in a big way. Therefore, CHRYSO has considerably increased the importance placed in R&D, in parallel with the increase in the market share in Turkey. In addition to the existing chemical and concrete laboratories within the new plant investments, the investment for the concrete laboratory has also been completed. Furthermore, a concrete laboratory named "4 seasons Lab" and capable of experimenting on the concrete at temperatures of -5 to 50 degrees has been established in addition to the foregoing. Test equipment utilizing the latest technologies have been purchased for the chemical and concrete labs and all our labs have opened to our customers service.
CHRYSO has commissioned a new reactor in 2006. In addition, the IR Spectrophotometer (FTIR) device has been presented to our customers service in 2005 as a pioneering step in the sector. Thanks to that, we are now capable of determining the active ingredients under TS EN 934-2 and present the photographed certificates for our products as per our quality assurance system.
Implementation of the new European standards, which are to be observed in the European Union process and as well as the others, have opened the road for the application related to the sectoral quality standards and supervision. The TS EN 934 series can be shown as a solid step regarding the issue. Working towards ISO and CE certificates is also one of the "musts" for the companies operating in the sector. Accelerating its quality activities in that regard as well, CHRYSO has retained its ISO 9001 certificate obtained in 2005 and demonstrated the importance placed in quality by further obtaining the CE and TSE certificates as well.
Aiming to offer chemical solutions to its customers, CHRYSO shall continue with the investments in Turkey and keep growing within the years to come.
